Back when people could only purchase music in a physical format, packaging and the presentation of an album was crucial in ensuring its success. Artists and musicians had a 12x12 inch cardboard canvas to visualize albums with art that would entice listeners (or just a curious music connoisseur) to pull them off a shelves.

These days, however, when everyone is streaming music with their app of choice, album art is often reduced to a much smaller digital space. This doesn’t mean that album art is any less important. In fact, it’s more important than ever when it comes to successful music promotion and music distribution.
